A confidential settlement was reached on the third day of a jury trial concerning the death of a young father. The plaintiff’s father was a concrete truck driver who was killed after he lost control of his truck and veered sharply into a ditch on the side of the road. Eye-witnesses confirmed that the truck’s right front tire tread had completely separated from the tire, causing the driver to lose control. Our investigation revealed that improper manufacturing techniques resulted in the tread separation. The manufacturer denied the claims and fought the case hard, but ultimately settled the case.
