A previously healthy 85 year old widow was admitted to a nursing home after she was found to be confused and showing increasing signs of dementia. She received substandard care at the nursing home where she fell several times, including one fall which broke her hip. She developed bedsores which did not heal because she was allowed to become dehydrated and malnourished. She died in the nursing home. Despite the complexity of this case, our firm secured a substantial but confidential recovery.
