Our client’s house sat on a quiet rural highway. She was sound asleep when an eighteen-wheel tractor-trailer left the roadway and travelled over two hundred yards across a field, slamming into her home at near full speed. The front of the home was nearly leveled and its owner was pinned in her bed, suffering serious and life-threatening injuries. We were able to reach a satisfactory settlement for her and to have her home rebuilt without having to file a lawsuit.
